I shot at the Omni Homestead my 1st year as a second shooter, and it’s an absolute DREAM WEDDING LOCATION! This Large Wedding Venue has it all: beautiful brick, amazing lobby with indoor columns and vaulted ceilings, and all the natural light from the MANY window! There are several locations that the Omni offers for weddings and receptions, so they are able to accommodate all wedding sizes. And as of this year they even have a Hot Spring to soak and relax in before or after your wedding celebration!

This historic landmark is located right in the middle of downtown Roanoke. Though it has a Ballroom I still consider it a Smaller Wedding Venue, just because it is a more intimate setting. The Ballroom is like stepping in to The Great Gatsby novel and gives you all the 1920’s art deco you could want. It’s also right next to all the restaurants and bars, so you could move to an after party.

Adventure is in the title, so you can expect great things! This is a Large Outdoor Wedding Venue that can accommodate Large Wedding Parties. This is the location for couples who are outdoorsy and want to elope, but also want 80 of their closest friends with them. This is a camp, and they are equipped to house 80- 100 people in their cabins and houses for overnight stays! If you like the outdoors and want to elope, this venue has tubbing, zip lining, disc golf, hiking, canoeing, and climbing walls. I also don’t say this a lot, but the catering is AMAZING! 5 stars from this photographer.

The locals refer to this hotel as the Grand Old Lady and consider this building a historical treasure. This is a Large Indoor Wedding Venue that is able to accommodate all of your overnight guests and has many rooms for photos. Behind the hotel is my favorite Magnolia tree, which has an enclosed rock patio area. This is one of my favorite venues to photograph at because each of the common areas has been designed with an attention for detail, that allows for creativity to flow.

Charter Hall is a beautiful Small Virginia Wedding Venue that is able to hold 200 people in their ballroom. Their is a stage that can be used for the DJ or tables for the couple and their wedding party! The is beautifully lite and with white ceilings every photographer will be thankful for. The staff is excellent and very helpful. This is a perfect venue for an intimate wedding celebration!

The Nesselrod is a Small Wedding Venue located right off the New River and right outside the Radford College Area. This Outdoor Wedding Venue can accommodate up to 200 guests and a beautiful house for getting ready. For rainy weather they have a gazebo and pavillion, so you will be covered no matter the weather. The gazebo is a great place to get some intimate photography and take in the moment with each other as newly weds!
